Dubai, UAE, November 2024: YOUGotaGift, the UAE’s leading digital gift card marketplace, has announced the sale of a 91% stake to Japan-based eGifting platform giftee Inc. This acquisition strengthens YOUGotaGift’s position in the GCC while paving the way for global expansion.

Founded in 2013, YOUGotaGift pioneered digital gift cards in the UAE and expanded to Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East. The company serves over 2,500 corporate clients, offering digital gift card solutions for employee rewards, loyalty programs, and gifting.

Husain Makiya, CEO and Co-founder, stated, “We are excited to partner with giftee to further expand beyond the GCC and enhance our offerings with their international expertise.”

This acquisition enables YOUGotaGift to leverage giftee’s presence in Asia and bring innovative digital gift card solutions to new global markets, further cementing the region’s leadership in the digital gifting space.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of November 2024, subject to regulatory approvals.
