Abu Dhabi, UAE: 30 July 2026 – Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE) has launched its summer camp, dedicated this year to Students of Determination under the theme Family, Inclusion, and Artificial Intelligence. To run from 27 to 30 July 2026 at the college’s campus in Abu Dhabi, the camp will offer learners practical and interactive experiences that foster creativity and innovation, strengthen self-confidence, and encourage active participation and lifelong learning.

The camp aims to prepare Students of Determination for a future shaped by digital technologies and artificial intelligence by introducing them to emerging technologies and equipping them with practical skills to engage confidently with the digital world. In addition, it seeks to open new learning avenues that foster creativity and innovation.

Aligned with the UAE’s Year of the Family, the camp reflects ECAE’s commitment to advancing the principles of inclusion and educational integration while providing high-quality learning opportunities that empower all learners to identify their potential and strengthen their future-focused capabilities. The camp contributes to building a more inclusive and adaptable education system through expanding access to digital knowledge within an equitable learning environment designed for Students of Determination. Through the integration of artificial intelligence competencies and digital Fab Labs applications, the camp helps participants build practical skills in collaboration with their families, educators, and the wider community.

The camp also places strong emphasis on family engagement as a key component of the learning journey, recognising the vital role families play in supporting and empowering Students of Determination and enhancing their active participation within society.

Dr. May Laith Al Taee, ECAE’s Vice Chancellor, said: ‘At Emirates College for Advanced Education, we believe that inclusive education and educational integration are far more than educational concepts; they represent a national commitment to ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to participate, succeed, and realize their full potential. This summer camp embodies our vision of creating innovative learning environments that enable Students of Determination to actively contribute to shaping the future we are collectively building in the UAE.’

She added: ‘The camp this year coincides with the UAE’s Year of the Family, reflecting our belief that meaningful inclusion is achieved through collective action involving families, schools, communities, and educators. By harnessing artificial intelligence and educational technologies in a purposeful and responsible manner, we can advance inclusion and create a lasting educational impact, supporting the UAE’s vision of a future-ready education system.’

The camp will host 30 Students of Determination across two age groups: children between 7-11 years and participants aged 12-18 years. The programme has been carefully designed to address the needs of each age group, ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience to support the abilities, interests, and aspirations of the participants.

Over two days, each group will participate in a series of practical workshops and interactive sessions. The first day will focus on artificial intelligence, featuring simplified hands-on activities that introduce emerging technologies and explore their real-world applications in an engaging and accessible manner. The second day will be dedicated to Fab Labs, where participants will have the opportunity to transform their ideas into tangible prototypes and projects, further enhancing their creativity and innovation while honing their problem-solving skills.

The summer camp reflects ECAE’s ongoing commitment to promoting inclusion and educational integration, embedding these principles across learning environments, strengthening the capabilities of educational professionals through inclusive educational practices and effective methodologies, and leveraging artificial intelligence to advance inclusion across the education sector. The initiative is part of a broader portfolio of programmes implemented by the college to support inclusive education, empower learners, and harness emerging technologies to enrich educational experiences in line with the UAE’s vision for the future.
