HALA Eastern Capital (“HALA Capital”), a closed joint stock company headquartered in Al Khobar city, today announced its official launch as a Capital Market Authority (CMA)-licensed private capital firm under license number 25318-02, issued on August 7, 2025.

Formerly known as HALA Ventures, the firm’s transformation into HALA Capital represents a significant milestone in its journey from a venture capital powerhouse into a comprehensive private capital platform, spanning Venture Capital, Private Equity, Private Credit, and paving the way for further alternative investments under a broader horizon of opportunities.

HALA Capital is positioned to bridge the gap between early innovation and institutional-scale investment, delivering sustainable value across the investment lifecycle.

Over the years, HALA has established itself as one of the leading names in Saudi Arabia’s investment ecosystem, supporting visionary founders and high-growth enterprises.

Ali Abussaud, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of HALA Capital, commented:

“This evolution marks a natural step in HALA’s journey. As HALA Capital, we are not only building on our venture legacy but also expanding our mandate to empower investors and enterprises through diversified private capital strategies. We aim to fuel innovation, scale established businesses, and create long-term impact across Saudi Arabia and the wider region.”

Hussain Almarhoon, Founder and Chief Financial Officer, added: “HALA Capital reflects our belief in continuity, an ecosystem where capital adapts to every stage of growth. From early ventures to mature enterprises, our approach combines agility, discipline, and insight to generate lasting value for both investors and the market.”

HALA Capital’s transformation proves the growing depth and maturity of the Kingdom’s private capital landscape, positioning the firm as a key enabler of economic diversification and growth – in alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable private sector development.
