The documented recipe offers an authentic insight into Sheikh Zayed‘s majlis and the values of generosity, hospitality and dialogue

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 2 September, 2026: The Founder’s Office is offering visitors to the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2026 the opportunity to experience the documented coffee recipe of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Founding Father of the UAE, highlighting an authentic aspect of his legacy and the traditions of his majlis.

Presented at The Founder’s Office pavilion, the recipe introduces visitors to the preparation of the coffee traditionally served in Sheikh Zayed’s majlis and its significance as a symbol of generosity and Emirati hospitality. It also highlights the role coffee played in encouraging dialogue and connection between Sheikh Zayed, his guests and members of the community.

The Founder’s Office documented the recipe through verified historical sources, specialised research and first-hand testimonies from individuals who knew Sheikh Zayed and were directly involved in preparing his coffee, preserving these authentic memories and traditions for future generations.

The documentation included the contribution of Sheikh Zayed’s personal coffee makers, who served in his majlis from 1966 until 2004. Al Blooshi helped document the recipe and its preparation, which was used in Sheikh Zayed’s majlis and at official and informal occasions and evolved.

More than a traditional recipe, Sheikh Zayed’s coffee offers an insight into his approach to engaging with people and the values of generosity, respect and dialogue embodied in his majlis. By sharing the recipe at ADIHEX, The Founder’s Office is bringing these documented memories and traditions to life, helping audiences deepen their understanding of Sheikh Zayed’s legacy and the enduring relevance of his values.

Visitors can discover Sheikh Zayed’s coffee recipe alongside a range of content and activities at The Founder’s Office pavilion (5-040) in Hall 5, exploring different aspects of his life, legacy, and values.
