Invest Qatar, the country’s investment promotion agency, has concluded a high-level promotional tour in Istanbul, aiming to attract Turkish investment into Qatar’s rapidly diversifying economy. The initiative focused on building new partnerships and showcasing opportunities in several high-growth sectors.

Forging Strategic Partnerships
The four-day tour saw the Invest Qatar delegation engage in a series of meetings with senior officials from major Turkish companies and business organizations.
The agency organized several key events, including an investor dialogue with the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board and a business banquet in collaboration with the Turkish Industry and Business Association. These sessions were designed to strengthen communication with Turkish investors and key players in the business community.
Fahad Ali Al Kuwari, Chief Investment Development Officer at Invest Qatar, highlighted the mission’s importance. “This promotional tour embodies the State of Qatar’s firm commitment to strengthening economic cooperation with the Republic of Turkiye, and its keenness to provide a stable and supportive environment for international investors,” he stated.
Al Kuwari added that by expanding investment channels, Qatar aims to solidify its position as a long-term hub for Turkish companies looking to expand into regional and global markets.
A Focus on High-Growth Tech Sectors
The tour placed a strong emphasis on showcasing Qatar’s innovation-driven investment environment, with a particular focus on smart manufacturing, digital technologies, and the electronic gaming industry. A specialized roundtable brought together key stakeholders from the gaming sector to explore collaborative opportunities.
As part of the agenda, the Qatari delegation conducted a field visit to the MEXT Technology Center, a prominent innovation hub driving digital transformation in Turkiye’s manufacturing sector through advanced technologies.
Bridging Academia and Startup Ecosystems
A key outcome of the tour was the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ARI Teknokent, the science and technology park affiliated with Istanbul Technical University.
The agreement aims to boost academic cooperation in science, culture, and entrepreneurship between the two countries. The partnership will support the innovation ecosystems in both Qatar and Turkiye by encouraging collaborations between startups, facilitating knowledge exchange, and promoting the commercialization of new technologies in international markets.
